Location: Eagle Court, Sheldon (Hybrid Working: 2-3 days per week in the office, the rest remote)

About the Role:
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for reporting and analysing operating expenditure and margin, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and providing valuable insights to stakeholders. You will work closely with Finance Business Partners, Regional staff, and other key stakeholders to ensure financial integrity and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Reporting:

    • Accurately report operating expenditure/margin, ensuring costs are correctly recognised with necessary accruals and prepayments.
    • Provide analysis of expected and actual expenditure, validating alignment with budget expectations.
  • Branch Financial Results:

    • Ensure accurate reporting of regional branch financial results, allocating costs correctly across branch cost centres.
    • Deliver variance analysis to Finance Business Partners and Regional staff as required.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations:

    • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation for accruals and prepayments.
    • Investigate and challenge discrepancies to maintain the integrity of the financial ledger.
  • Team Management:

    • Manage the performance, development, training, and succession planning of direct reports.

What We’re Looking For:

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified, or actively studying towards qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify trends and perform variance analysis.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic finance environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills to explain financial results to wider stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
