We are currently looking for a Collection Analyst for our Calgary, AB office.
The Collection Analyst is responsible for communicating with customers and internal staff to analyze credit information, solve problems, and ensure the timely payment of invoices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform collections activities (approximately 80% of the role) and credit analysis (approximately 20%).
- Ability to handle a portfolio size of $20million.
- Analyze the paying habits of accounts that are delinquent.
- Daily follow up on delinquent customers via email and phone calls.
- Analyze company credit experiences for new applications
- Evaluate customer records and recommend credit limit changes or strategies on how to clear past due items on the account.
- Reconcile accounts when customers have short paid invoices due to credit notes such as pricing, Unapplied cash, returns or tax adjustments.
- Posting of AR cheques when needed.
- Collection experience in the related industry is preferred
- Get Paid knowledge is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) is required
- Prior knowledge of Versa Pay & AS400 is an asset
- Problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure
