As a Counter Sales Associate in our Ottawa branch, your essential duties will be to:

• Attending to customers by telephone, fax, or in person at the counter.  As required, assist customers by identifying specific or alternative products based on their requirements
• Entering sales orders for products selected and ensuring that all documentation is completed for the sale including price and delivery information as well as verifying stock availability
• Performing general housekeeping duties of the counter area in compliance with health and safety practices
• Providing customer feedback to the direct manager

Working within a fast-paced, computerized environment, this position requires an energetic and outgoing individual who is detailed-oriented and strives for 100% accuracy.  He\she must be able to successfully complete tasks in a timely manner on a daily basis, work within a team environment, and be self-motivated.   The ability to communicate effectively and build customer relationships will contribute to your success in this position

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 education (or equivalent)
• Minimum of two years of counter or customer service experience
• Be computer literate
• AS400 experience would be an asset
• Product knowledge of the electrical business would be an asset
