We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Area Branch Manager to join our team in London, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will support the Area Branch Manager in overseeing the operations of multiple branches within the assigned region, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and achievement of business targets.

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of multiple branches, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements • Support the development and implementation of strategic plans to drive business growth and improve branch performance • Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics, preparing reports for senior management • Collaborate with branch managers to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
  • Lead and motivate branch teams, fostering a culture of excellence in customer service and sales • Conduct regular branch visits to assess performance, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to operational standards • Assist in recruitment, training, and development of branch staff • Resolve complex customer issues and maintain strong relationships with key clients • Support the implementation of new products, services, and technologies across branches • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal control procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail banking or financial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams • Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in banking software and MS Office suite • In-depth knowledge of retail banking products, services, and industry regulations • Strong understanding of risk management principles in banking operations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities • Professional banking certifications (e.g., Chartered Banker, CeMAP) are desirable • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned area
